Final year of Uni + Taking a break!?

Hi guys,

As you can probably tell by the title of this post, I’m going to start my final year of University this week. It’s absolutely surreal how fast the time has gone, I can still remember my first day and already 2 years has gone by. Due to how short Uni terms are, sometimes it feels like you spend more time out of uni than actually in class!

I feel quite mixed emotions about going into my final year if I’m honest. While I’m excited to have got to such a stage and I’m proud of my achievements up to this point, I’m also really nervous about what’s to come. I’m someone who is still learning to deal with change and the thought of finishing Uni is quite daunting, the lack of structure and a set plan is something I’m already scared of. You hear constant statistics and figures about graduate unemployment and it’s off-putting to say the least, it makes you wonder if a degree is worth it and question your choices a lot, at least that’s what I’ve found.

As well as over thinking what’s going to happen after Uni, there’s the actual work this year which again is staggering. I have a whole dissertation to think about as well as different presentations and essays for different classes, this all brings me to the conclusion that a little break from blogging might be good. I think my time this year should be devoted solely to my studies as well as another project I’m taking part in. I want to manage my time better and I’ll still post now and then but until next year some time, I may reduce the amount to a couple of posts a month instead of a steady weekly routine. This isn’t a goodbye or me abandoning my blog by any means but merely a see you later.

This summer I feel like I’ve really found my passion for blogging again and I will definitely miss it, as Uni kicks in and my schedule becomes more busy. I’d just like to take this moment to thank all the great bloggers I’ve come to know through twitter and who always show me support and love.Β

If you’re studying currently, even graduated or in work at the moment, how are you finding it? would love to hear about your experiences!

Until next time,

Rumaanah x
